How to make a square
1 Be inspired: think of something you really love about life: a plant or animal, a place, a person, an activity, a memory....
2 Measure your square: finished squares can be either 2x2 feet (61x61 cm) or 2x4 feet (61x122 cm) with an *additional* inch (2.5 cm) all around for sewing the squares together. (Imagine a postage stamp, where the picture is surrounded b a little white frame.) Please avoid using stretchy fabric (like T-shirts) unless you don't have other options-- it's harder to sew. Also, if you are glueing instead of sewing, please make sure the details of your square stay put if it is hanging, as the quilt is sometimes displayed on walls.
3 Mail your square to:
America Worden

Petaluma, CA

USA
Please include a title, any description you'd like of your square or your feeling, and if you would like to be anonymous with your square. It' is especially great-- for viewing easiness/inspiration-- if you write (or paint, or sew) your name, place, and title on the square itself where people can see it in the quilt.
